Rating: - Good, but doesn't shift ALL spyware,with dodgy Support
It been a little while since i bought this software. It was good at getting rid of the majority of spyware and my PC being a lot quicker. However, i have found that it can't get rid of all spyware as on numerous scans, it picks up the spyware it said it removed the previous time.

Also, i have written on numerous occasions to Support to address these concerns and they have yet to come back (well over a month and still waiting...). In regards to the subscription, i have found every time i log in the subscription renewal date is getting earlier and earlier in the year! I have now resorted to using freeware to do Spy Sweeper's job, which has done the job Spy Sweeper couldn't. I would give the product '3', with the dodgy support it brings the rating down to '2'.

Rating: - V. good, but needs to be run more often than advised...
I have found Spy Sweeper very simple to use, and very effective in getting rid of some of the worst trojans and adware around, such as Bargain Buddy et al. But it advises that it should be run at least once a week, which I don't think is enough for a thorough clean-out. Also, with some types of spyware, you need to run the software more than once. But otherwise, it is very good software, and I would defintely recommend it for those who spend a lot of time on the Internet.

Rating: - caveat emptor!
Spy sweeper methodically sweeps the registry and your hard drive detecting cookies and spyware, giving you the option of quarantine or deletion. The active shields are excellent, preventing browser hijacking and the insertion of rogue start up programs. So far, so good. Be careful though: problems with updating spyware definitions may occur; the program can be unstable; and this purchaser found evidence of keyloggers embedded deep in the program. And customer support? Well, friend, patience is a virtue. This should be part of a gamut of weapons against spyware. Don't rely on it as a last redoubt.

Rating: - Very good - but not free
I use spysweeper, Ad-aware and spybot search and destroy. All are very good but Ad-aware and spybot are free so check these out first before you buy spysweeper - you might be happy for free. I find spysweeper to be the slowest and to use the most system resources of these three. My favourite is spybot. It is true that spysweeper is probably the best at removal of spyware but all 3 are excellent at detection. One star removed because it's not free - no complaints otherwise

Rating: - Spy Sweeper
It`s rare these days to find a peice of software that you can actually say "it`s really good" Spy Sweeper is very easy and simple to use and stops most pop-ups, and all spyware.

I would recommend this software to anyone with a computer.
